Powder horns with similar overall petal designs are generally attributed to the Native Americans. This example was within the household collection of Jim Potts from Russellville, Ohio. The end plug has a carved date of 1786 suggesting a settler owned the horn at this date. This diminutive horn with red-toned stained incising is in excellent condition with a rich patina.
